Who is Ben Turcotte?
Ben Turcotte is a 19-year-old independent singer/songwriter from Port Elgin. He has been playing music for many years. He is proficient on guitar, piano, drums, and saxophone. For more information on Ben and his music, check out our site post.
Who is David Grieves, the artist behind Algonquin – Paintings?
David Grieves is a stencil and spray paint artist. His paintings explore Canadian landscapes and athletes, craft beer and hip hop. His intricate stencils are generated from digital photographs, manipulating the image to derive each layer. Each layer is then meticulously cut by hand and painted using spray paint. David is starting to gain recognition for his stencil art. Recently, he was selected as a finalist in the Kutz Stencil Art Awards, an international stencil competition pitting cutters head-to-head.
Who is Jay Wilson of Pandora’s Sox of Puppets and Poems?
Jay is a member of the The Ontario Puppetry Association and The Guelph Arts Council.
Combining skills in performance, writing, teaching, music, arts marketing, theatre administration, and tour logistics, Jay’s puppet and entertainment company, Pandora’s Sox, now employs Jay full-time.
In addition to a puppet workshop entitled “Puppet Secrets”, Jay performs elocutions, custom songs and other ‘entertainments’ at special occasions of all kinds.
